In this production of the beloved opera by Verdi, the main character Violetta transforms from a celebrated 19th century courtesan to a world-famous pop star of today. With a fresh look at this well-known story, the audience gains insight into the fascinating life of a superstar, the highs and lows in a world of endless possibilities and pitfalls. Pushed into the limelight, our Violetta struggles to keep up this life of glamour and fame and seems inevitable from the prelude already that her life will unravel pretty quickly. In this production Violetta is in and out of a rehab centre and even Alfredo cannot prevent her dooming demise.
